VESTA - non-governmental organization

VESTA is non-governmental organization, accredited under the Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Cooperation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption. We are dedicated to the mission of helping abandoned and orphaned children to find families and have better and brighter future.

Our team has been working for over 12 years helping children to find homes and loving families through intercountry adoptions. Here you can receive more information on the intercountry adoption procedure in Bulgaria.

We believe that each child shall be given the chance to have a family and to grow up in an atmosphere of love, tenderness and attention.

Together we can make a difference in children’s life and we can help them find their worthy place in this world.

We are guilty of many errors and many faults, but our worst crime is abandoning the children, neglecting the fountain of life. Many of the things we need can wait. The child cannot. Right now is the time his bones are being formed, his blood is being made, and his senses are being developed. To him we cannot answer ‘Tomorrow,’ his name is today.”  Gabriela Mistral

VESTA’s priorities are:

Protecting children’s rights and ensuring appropriate parental care for the abandoned and orphaned children through intercountry adoptions;

Providing support to the adoptive parents during their adoption process in accordance with the requirements of the Bulgarian legislation, and all applicable international acts ratified by the country;

Monitoring children’s life and development after the adoption;

Helping children in their personal development and integration in the society;

Providing support to the adoptive parents in raising their children

Our mission is dedicated to the right of every child to have home and loving family.

Through the various humanitarian projects we help children in their social and cultural development and we show them that they are important. We try to create good system of values in them and to ease their complete integration in the society.

We also work for the improvement of the raising and educating of the abandoned and orphaned children in Bulgaria.
