International Conference - Policies and Perspectives of the development of Intercountry Adoptions in Bulgariа, 19 March 2009, Sofia, BulgariaThe Ministry of Justice of Bulgaria as the Central Authority on intercountry adoptions and the Association of the Accredited Adoption Organizations organize International Conference on “Status and perspectives of intecountry adoptions in Bulgaria” on 19 March 2009, Sofia, Bulgaria. The Conference will be held at the Royal Hall of the Sheraton Hotel. The Conference will gather experts in child welfare programs and policies from all over the world and its goal is to strengthen the response to the needs of the abandoned and orphaned children. The Association of the Accredited Adoption Organizations includes more then 20 non-governmental organizations in Bulgaria working in the sphere of child welfare and providing various child services. The Conference will provide a forum for discussion of the lessons learned and future steps to address the problems of the children who need families.
